Chapter 97
As he continued to kiss her ankle, Roxana noticed a dark glimmer in Cassis’ eyes. He was evidently still far from satisfied. It appeared he wouldn’t be until he had left his imprint on every inch of her body.
“Can w— Ah... stop now?” Unable to handle another round, she attempted to pull her ankle away from his grip. Although she had started the tangled tussle with just as much enthusiasm as him, she was more than ready to raise the white flag.
An unchained Cassis Pedelian was essentially uncontrollable. Upon realizing this, Roxana found it utterly mystifying that he had managed to stifle such burning passion for all those days they had been together. Once he recognized that she was sincere in having had enough, he relented. Of course, not before giving her ankle one last longing squeeze.
Up until that day, he had been very careful about being the first to initiate any sort of intimacy. Sure, he had blown energy into her through her mouth and often carried her around, but aside from a few very brief moments, he had always been exceptionally reserved when it came to truly touching her. He had been wary of what had in fact transpired that day coming to pass.
Never in his life had Cassis so much as considered that he would have trouble controlling his impulses, yet he certainly proved himself wrong in a big way that day. As he lay next to Roxana, he slid his hand across her forehead to clear away the golden strands cascading over it. As tenderness poured forth through his gaze and touch, the tension in her slight frame began to lift.
“Be honest. Did I overdo it?” He was no doubt curious if his passion had pushed her past her limit.
Does he really have... no idea?
“Are you just now realizing that?” she asked.
But rather than sound remorseful, he let out a heavy and almost regretful sigh. “As I thought, we’ll have to work on getting you much healthier since you tire so easily.”
Is he out of his mind? Although she was still basking in the aftermath of their intimacy, Roxana couldn’t help feeling annoyed. “Listen, mister. It’s not that I tire easily, it’s you. You simply aren’t normal, and actually...”
But she didn’t have the strength to argue. Instead, she let her head fall against his chest. As he pulled her in closer, he stroked the back of her head and neck.
“Roxana...” He said her name softly in his usual low voice. It was uttered not so much in hopes of a response, but more as an affirmation of her being near him. Thus, she kept silent.
“Roxana.” He called out to her yet again, which left her questioning her initial conclusion.
As it was the second time, she answered his call. “Yes?”
His chest was bare, warm, and so inviting that she felt herself begin to drift off. But just as abruptly as that feeling came over her, she became suspicious. The hand that had been caressing her head and neck was now circling her backside and seemed to be on the cusp of reaching for... Indeed. It had already slipped into her most sensitive area and made her shudder again. Upon realizing it wasn’t an innocent mistake, her eyes flashed as she became wide awake.
“Wait... You’re not starting that again, are you?” She still was uncertain if the motion had been intentional or not, but she also highly doubted he could be up for yet another bout. Such a thing would be truly unheard of. They had already been at it for literal hours already. Still, the way he had been nibbling on her ankles just moments ago was awfully suspicious.
Then as if to confirm her suspicion, Cassis began kissing the side of her neck before whispering, “Just... once more.”
This “once” you speak of is an avalanche, sir. Still, the moment their eyes met Roxana knew she could not resist his temptation reversal. It was growing excruciatingly apparent that Cassis Pedelian’s nighttime charm was almost lethal. Roxana began to sense the dangerous nature of her recurring fantasies.
She fell silent due to her own disbelief as he leaned toward her lips. In seconds he planted a very sweet, yet heavy kiss on them. The fluid flowing between their mouths had something of a narcotic effect, which caused her temperature to rise. Once she accepted that she was beyond the point of changing her mind, she gave in and kissed him back deeply.
His hand, which had been caressing her outer thigh, quickly found its way around to the interior and more intimate region. She moaned, then suddenly pushed him away so that she could position herself on top of him.
As Roxana looked down at him, Cassis wrapped his arm around her waist while narrowing the corners of his eyes. There was a satisfied smile playing on her lips. The scenery is definitely better from up here.
“I’ll be taking the lead this time. As for you...” As she lowered her head, her golden locks tumbled onto him. The effect left both their golden and silver strands intertwined. She lightly placed her lips over his, then arrogantly gave him an order. “...just stay down and enjoy yourself.”
His golden eyes were once again ablaze with insatiable lust.
Roxana continued to lower herself down to him slowly, but he responded by almost yanking her head toward him and seemingly swallowing her mouth whole. Her new position was proving far more agreeable for teasing him with gentle, circular motions. In the end, the promised “once more” was but a pipe dream as the couple engaged in several more rounds of sexual escapades. Even she had to accept that she had brought it upon herself.

Perhaps... I had been the one who lost my mind. By the time I regretted my foolish recklessness, it was all over.
Cassis and I remained in that room for three straight days doing exactly what everyone likely, and correctly, assumed we were doing. Except for stopping to eat, bathe, and sleep, we spent the majority of our time engaged in carnal activity. And at least for that brief period of time, no external reality could intrude on our bliss. Still, there was no denying that we had gone a bit overboard.
I sighed softly as I sat across from him while we ate a late breakfast.
“You have something there.” His voice cut through the silence so suddenly that I only looked up in time to see him reaching toward me.
Just as his hand came to the corner of my mouth, my tongue was already out and licking the spot he had signaled. His hand hovered in the air as his eyes suddenly became dark. “Oops, sorry. My mistake.”
I apologized dryly, then continued to eat. Although I feigned a calm demeanor, I was panicking. My reflexive reaction had simply been a result of our three lustful days of play. Even now I swear that I had absolutely zero intention of inciting Cassis’ passion again. Luckily, he quietly retracted his outstretched hand rather than advance toward me any further. I assumed he had probably had enough as well. We were, after all, still humans.
“Mother has sent a letter addressed directly to you this time.”
As he spoke he passed me the missive one of the attendants had brought with our meal. I was at an utter loss. A letter addressed to me instead of to him seemed like such a bizarre occurrence. Yet there was something even more confounding he had said that I couldn’t wrap my mind around.
I put my fork down right away to ask for clarification. “What do you mean by ‘this time’?”
“Last time, she sent someone here.”
“When was that?”
“Two days ago while you were asleep.” Rather than open the envelope, he placed it in front of me. Just as he had said, it was indeed addressed to me. “My guess is she wants to invite you to tea, but I sent the messenger back after saying you weren’t feeling well.”
But all that really meant was that he had sent someone away who had come to ask for me just to keep me to himself for longer.
“If by any chance I upset you, I apologize. It was presumptuous of me.” As he spoke, he looked straight into my eyes. His apology sounded genuine enough. Especially compared to all the sweet nothings he had whispered into my ears over those three days in order to have me again and again.
I simply stared at him quietly. The man who had been like a ravenous beast only hours prior had all but vanished. I was at a loss for words as I beheld his characteristic cool and clear expression. It wasn’t that I was upset, just surprised.
“Be sure not to do it again.”
“Okay.”
“I am glad you sent her a reply though. I wouldn’t have been able to refuse her invitation.” Although I was embarrassed to admit it, the fact of the matter was that I had also enjoyed our three days locked away together immensely.
He grinned at me as if he understood.
I made a mental note to write Jeanne back as soon as we were through with our breakfast.
